An Interruption in Your Regular Blog Scheduling

I have (not so) recently discovered I cannot comment on my posts. For some reason, in between my dashboard and clicking on a post I'd like to comment on, I get logged out. Seriously. I cannot. Comment. On my own. Posts. Quite annoying. In case you couldn't tell. Also, I'm having troubles with my battery/batteries. Because I'm so sure you're interested, I'm going to tell you of them.

While on vacation to see Mom, I noticed my computer shut off. Right in the middle of what I was doing. Namely, watching a movie on Netflix. Then, it did it again. And again. And again so many times, I gave up and shut my computer off for the rest of the trip. And blamed it on the battery, because I'd noticed the battery light blinking this orange color. Kind of pretty. Not at all the point.

So when I got home, I told my dad the battery was glitchy and he persuaded me to buy a new one off Amazon. The seller looked very reputable, so I got a new Dell battery for quite a steal (I can't believe I just used that phrase...): I saved about a hundred dollars. Yeah. Go Amazon!

When the battery came in, I was all excited because I rarely get mail and here was a package! so I immediately went to get my laptop and replaced the old battery. Come to find out, it still shut off. Right in the middle of Netflix. Poor Netflix.

Plus! (You didn't think there'd be a plus, did you?) When I plugged in my battery adapter charger cord thing (and yes, that is the technical name for it), it didn't charge. It didn't even register that there was a charger connected to it, like my old battery would have done. It wasn't "plugged in, not charging." It was "not plugged in, not charging."

Quite frustrating. So now I'm using Nikki's cord thing. And it's working. Sometimes I hate technology. And now I'll get back to what I actually wanted to say in this post.

If I don't reply to your comment, it's not because I don't like you or your comment, nor that I was too busy (ha!), it's that Google and my laptop hate my guts.  

And now, since this turned out to be roughly the size of a regular post, I'm going to give you a video. Yes, I'm giving it to you. It is now yours. Now I just have to decide which video to give you...

 
There you go. Nice, huh? And when I come back, I'll talk about something else. (Ha, just thought about that...)

I could have sworn there was a Fall Out Boy song with the words "on the subject of" in it, and I was planning on quoting it to you, alas, I could not find it. Oh well. God Hates No One

Did you ever write a paper, and the words came to you so naturally, that you were done proving your point in less than the words required? Not to sound boastful, but that happened a lot when I was in school. So, I'd say it again, using different words in a different order, like maybe they didn't get it the first time. I feel, after reading this article , that that was a bad idea. I guess I can't base my reaction entirely on the needless repetition, because I also didn't necessarily agree with the content. But when the author goes on and on, saying the same thing about three times in different and clever ways, he loses his credibility as a reliable source of information. It seems obvious that personal emotions at least partly fueled his writing. To share, or not to share, where is the question?

I despise pet names. I hate them. If anyone ever calls me baby--well, let's just say, you can be sure they would never think to call me baby again. I don't know why, but this morning while driving to school, I thought about how much I detest pet names, and what I would say if anyone ever brought up pet names in my presence. And I figured it out: "Pet names are just words that try to portray affection but don't really mean anything." Poetic, right? So why does no one ever ask me the questions I've found the perfect answer to? They ask plenty of questions I have no idea how to answer ("How much is left in my Ozzie bucks?", "Est-ce que tu as cours cette été?"), but no one ever (or, rarely) asks the questions I want them to.
