Mariah Carey

This has nothing to do with Mariah Carey. But the post with the most views on this entire blog is the one titled Jennifer Lawrence. I'd like to see if my misnomer works.

Today, I found out some great news. It's kind of personal, or at least the way it relates to me is personal, so I'm not going to say (no matter how many likes it gets...), but let me just say, it opened up a tiny window. It made me smile. But, then I found out even better news. Seriously. Someone at work told me today that they'd read some of my blog.

!

(If you're reading this, it's not creepy. That isn't the right word. I meant to say it's totally awesome, and yet reminds me of the fact that this is public and I need to be careful about what I say. That's the not so great part. When I answered your question, I was really distracted, thinking about what I'd been posting lately...)

So. Now you know how important it is to me to know someone (even if it's only one person, or that person only reads one entry, or that person lives in Bolivia [in fact, that would make it even cooler]) reads my rambling. See, I believe that actions speak louder than words, and that taking the time to take interest in someone else's interests is a better way of saying, hey, I like you, than anything. Because, as we know, time is precious, and to give it away to someone else, is seriously the highest form of flattery.

Basically, tell me if you read this! Even if it's just a quick note, hey, liked the latest post. I love quick notes! So, okay. That's it.

  1. I almost always read the blog. I also just had a person from work tell me they read mine too. I enjoy reading yours because there are somethings I can relate to on yours & it makes me feel less alone in this crazy mixed up world.

  2. Hello, Ms. Shenanigans, I definitely read your blog issues! Your choices for videos are thought-provoking--as I am sure you intend them to be. I always think of lengthy responses...then think, well, there isn't time now...but I'll respond later...then ... So alas I have been a woefully negligent commenter. My sincere apologies. I have forwarded the link to your blog to a dear Masters-level English major I work with--a blog guest contributor herself--and she, too, appreciates your insights. I will be more intentional in commenting from here on.
    Warmest regards, Dr TC
