They'll see it, too

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."--Eleanor Roosevelt

This is one of those overused quotes that actually resonates. Must be why it's used so often. Basically, it's a kind of backwards way to say Yours is the only opinion of you that matters. If you think badly of yourself, you're going to let others treat you like you are inferior to them. If you think well of yourself, you're not going to let anybody tell you you shouldn't.

There's a line in a song that I've recently discovered by one of my favorite musicians: Sara Bareilles.

"Take it from me that you have to see it first." By it, she's referring to your beauty. Whatever it is that makes you beautiful, you are the one whose discovery of it matters the most. Without you knowing it's there, how can you show it to anyone else?

It makes total sense, but people tend to forget. So this is your reminder.

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

Take it from me that you have to see it first.

They'll see it, too, you beautiful girl (but fits any gender) you.
